Developed by Grenco Science, the G Pen Elite is a spray bottle with ergonomic and portable conduction, including an LED display with temperature control, battery level indicator and a ceramic heating chamber.
It has a really well thought out design and is a leader in the of cannabis vaping world.
First Impressions and Getting Started
At first glance, the G Pen Elite has it all. It is compact, lightweight and its ergonomic design allows a natural grip. With a large capacity chamber (0.5g), it allows you to do multiple sessions in a row and is ideal for portable use.
Electronic Cigarette Herbs Smoking
To begin, connect your G Pen via the Micro USB cable (supplied) and charge it for 3 hours. To fill the chamber, remove the mouthpiece by pressing the tip on each side and pulling up. From there, you simply fill the cartridge with your herb of choice. Pro tip: the G Pen Elite is especially good for using dry herbs.
It’s important to completely fill the cartridge for the best possible experience. To turn your G Pen Elite on and off, press the power button 5 times. You can then select the desired temperature using the buttons on the side.
Once the temperature is selected, the power button should be held down for one second so the vaporizer starts to heat up.
Comparison: G Pen Elite vs. Pax 3 Vaporizer
Once you start your session, the unit will begin to heat up and you will be able to track the temperature using the LED display.
One of the most impressive features of this vaporizer is its heating speed. Its ceramic convection chamber allows it to reach its ideal temperature in a few seconds (93° – 220°C / 200° – 428°F). Note, however, that it is not compatible with concentrates or oils.
The battery is also one of the highlights of this vaporizer; expect to get 45 minutes or more of continuous steam time. This represents approximately four to seven sessions. With passive charging, you can use your G Pen Elite when plugged in once the battery is 20%.
In addition, the G Pen has an automatic shutdown system to prevent it from discharging too quickly.
Warranty and Accessories Included
The G Pen Elite comes with a one-year manufacturer’s warranty that is below market average, but nothing so far has indicated it would not be reliable over the length. It also comes with a G Card Grinder, a G Pen tool, a cleaning brush, a USB charging cable and an instruction manual.
Steam and Bowl Quality
The vapor density is fairly limited on the G Pen Elite, but this could be an advantage depending on your desired level of discretion when using the device. It’s also common to feel a warm sensation with this vaporizer, but it does not in any way denature the quality of its vapor, which is really good in my opinion.
The G Pen Elite reaches about 88 grams, is about 11.5 cm high, 4 cm wide and about 2.5 cm deep.
Overall, I would say that the G Pen Elite is one of the best portable vaporizers in terms of size in the market ( click here for our comparison)! It is positioned with the Grasshopper and the Pax 2, its small pocket size makes it easy to carry in a small purse or pocket.
The G Pen Elite is easy to clean, and the grille of the mouthpiece is the element that requires the most attention. The good news is that the silicone cover on this device is removable; you can simply put the tip in a little alcohol, then rinse with warm water.
Overall, the G Pen Elite really surprised me with solid features and an elegant and extremely portable design. The temperature setting and LED display are really impressive for the size and price of this device.
